How hard is it to find internet on the road

Hi,

I work a fully remote IT job and have been contemplating vanlife for quite awhile.

The only thing keeping me from doing it is I'm worried I will spend all of my time looking for a good 5g signal. I would be willing to spend a lot of money every month and buy whatever was necessary to make the signal good, but I am worried that the middle of nowhere is the middle of nowhere and I won't be able to get good internet access.

My needs aren't THAT crazy but I would need to be able to zoom call on a regular basis. Not having internet would be a serious problem if it were to cut out at the wrong time.

I'd really like to hear from people who have experience doing this. Do most people just use 5g? I was thinking I could switch back between starlink and verizon / at&t with a netgear router and a weboost. I live in the PNW and would probably spend a lot of time around there.

Is this lifestyle possible for me or nah? Is there anything else I should consider that I'm missing?

Thanks
