I've had a watch for 6 - 7 years and think I've gone through as many straps for it, which feels terrible. My dad has a leather strap for his watch that he's had as long as I can remember, so at least 30+ years.
I'm vegetarian, so a vegan alternative would be great, but if I can buy a leather strap once that would feel much better than to buy a new vegan strap every year. Especially if it's made of plastic. I'm interested in natural materials like cork though.
I've bought leather straps, but they all start to fray after a year, it looks like they're not made of one "solid" piece of leather, but rather a very thin layer outside of something else.
So, does anyone know of a strap that looks like or is leather, is not made of thin layers and will last as long as possible? Of course, I do take care of my items, apply wax to them every now and then, etc. #lifestyle source
