Hindi maintindihan ng mga shallow purist to, diplomacy ≠ endorsement.
Vilifying Leni’s whole branding of Liberal Party for simply allowing diplomatic courtesy with the Israeli Diplomat, feeds the political trajectory of Duterte camp, the perfomative leftist activist/Makabayan Bloc fails to realize this:
Performative leftist pinoy activist should spend their time on building up a political legitimacy for 2028, instead of isolating themselves in doctrinal purity trap by attacking its own key liberal figure just to assert their moral superiority complex and prove themselves as morally upright while viewing the Philippine political landscape as black and white.
Reminder, the Makabayan Bloc which is the most left leaning in the spectrum that repeatedly postured itself as the champion of moral sanctimony, fails to capture the heart of the masses despite branding themselves as “Maka Masa” for decades and yet, still struggles to gather a large amount of votes in every senate election.
Their only hope? run in the House of Representatives under the party-list
ACT Teachers – 1 seat
Kabataan Party-list – 1 seat
Makabayan Bloc or any Purist Hardcore leftist groups does not have the sufficient amount of capacity as the Liberal Party to rival Duterte’s unyielding forces of machineries and it’s expected to comeback in the Malacañang, despite VP Sara’s high degree of conviction in the impeachment trial, her camp still holds the whole island of Mindanao and partial parts of Central Visayas. Not to mention, Baste Duterte serves as an alternative presidential candidate in case VP Sara gets convicted in the trial.
The hardcore pinks should stop choking themselves by crucifying their very own political heavyweight, politics is not merely a morality test, it’s also a strategy to crush its opponent using numbers.
