Startups say they move fast but hiring still takes six weeks. What's actually going on?
Every startup I talk to brags about speed. But then you look at their hiring process and it's like recruiter screen then hiring manager then take-home then panel then founder chat then reference check then offer. That's six weeks.
So is it a "we move fast on products but not on people" thing? Or is hiring just genuinely hard and the whole fast-moving identity is kind of a vibe?
