Hot take: I found Daeron the Drunken to be a much better-written and more interesting dreamer than Helaena
I know he only had like 3 minutes of screen time. I KNOW. But there’s something about the writing that makes the whole concept of dreams so haunting.
It’s not that it wasn’t haunting with Helaena. it’s just that I feel the way she dealt with her dreams depended on what the writers needed for a particular scene. It kept changing.
