🚨 Having issues receiving Millix from ads or transaction verifications on the Tangled browser ? 🚨

If all else fails, the problem is often with your node’s local database. Here’s a sure-fire fix (as long as it’s not your computer or internet connection):

🛠 How to Reset Your Node Database
⚠️ Important: Before starting, make sure you have your 24-word recovery phrase and wallet password backed up. If you’re running ads, back up the file advertising-advertiser.sqlite inside the millix-tangled folder.

1️⃣ Close the Tangled browser.
2️⃣ Find the millix-tangled folder on your computer.
3️⃣ Delete it.
If you’re running ads, save a copy of advertising-advertiser.sqlite.
4️⃣ Re-launch the Tangled browser.
5️⃣ Import your wallet using your recovery phrase + password.
6️⃣ Let the browser/node catch up to the network.

Note: Depending on your node’s transaction history, syncing may take time. Let the browser run until it’s fully caught up.

👉 You can track progress by going to Status > Summary in the Millix Wallet on the Tangled browser. Check the Pending Transaction Count . When it reaches 0 , your node is fully synced.

✅ Extra Precaution
As good practice, sign out of your wallet before closing the Tangled browser or shutting down your computer. This helps prevent database entry issues on your node in the future.

Oh this is great information! I do have a question though. Do ads and payments still go out if the browser is closed? like does it work even if you are offline and you come back resynch and the balance is updated or does the advertisement feature only work when you are connected to the network? This could be another consideration for those who run ads on behalf of others. I know that some staking is done through groups that keep their network running 24/7. If advertisement is similar than I don't see that as a negative but as a way to ensure there are enough nodes connected at any given time.

From what I understand, there’s a queue system in place. However, ads won’t be served or paid out unless your node/browser is online. The ad service is also designed as a motivator to keep the browser running. By keeping your Tangled browser open, you’re not only receiving ads - you’re actively running a Millix node that helps validate and propagate transactions across the Millix network. And your node gets paid for every transaction it helps validate and propagate.

I really appreciate this clarification. I had an intuition but its definitely best to know clearly! Thank you!

On my computer I had to turn off auto-aggregation. Then go to actions every so often and aggregate. Works great. A few other changes. It works. The auto messed my computer up. Works now. YOU MIGHT HAVE TO CHANGE CONFIGURATIONS TO MAKE IT WORK ON YOUR COMPUTER. (trial and error) 😂

Man, that's a great point. The intent of auto-aggregation was to keep things moving and not have balances stuck in unstable (pending). But, i agree that this could actually cause the computer and node to work too much causing some database entry errors. Sounds right in theory..

I actually went months without any ads. I went into my browser and deleted m cookies and cache and restarted the browser and the issue was fixed. You will have to take note that you will be logged out of all websites so be sure that you remember your passwords or go in and reset your passwords or email before going through with the procedure.
