The most challenging task I faced was a creative performance that required me to dance in the rain. My first hurdle was purely spatial our house simply didn't have enough room for the movement required, forcing me to take the performance outdoors. To avoid any unwanted attention or judgment, I decided to film at 4:00 AM.
The struggle was twofold first, the weather refused to cooperate it wasn't actually raining! I had to perform the entire routine in the dry morning air, relying on CapCut effects later to bring the rain to life. Second, I was dancing in complete silence to avoid disturbing the peace. I had to do several retakes due to minor mistakes, all while watching the neighbor's lights flicker on. I was terrified someone would look out and see me dancing frantically to no music in the middle of the street! It was a test of nerves as much as it was of talent.
This experience taught me the true meaning of resourcefulness and unwavering confidence. I learned that the show must go on, regardless of the obstacles whether that's a lack of physical space, uncooperative weather, or the fear of looking a bit eccentric to the neighbors.
More importantly, it taught me to prioritize my goals over the perceived judgment of others. I realized that as long as I am not causing a disturbance or acting with ill intent, I should have no care for what others think. Completing this activity required a humble acceptance of the situation and the grit to keep going until the final take was perfect. It was a lesson in staying focused on the vision, even when you're the only one who can hear the music.(kaso wala nga palang music)π€£βπ»β¨
