A Las Vegas jury has found Duane “Keffe D” Davis guilty of first-degree murder with a deadly weapon in the 1996 killing of Tupac Shakur. ⚖️
Prosecutors said Davis orchestrated the retaliation attack after an altercation involving his nephew, Orlando Anderson, and Shakur’s entourage. They did not accuse Davis of firing the gun.
The verdict is the first conviction in a case that remained unresolved for almost 30 years. Under Nevada law, a person who aids, directs or procures a crime can be treated as a principal. 🎤
Davis’s sentencing is set for 13 October. He has said he will appeal the conviction. 📅
