LPT: If you are checking on someone, make it easy for them to answer.
People reply more when the message feels easy, not heavy.
For example, instead of saying,
“Tell me everything, what is going on?”
I would say,
“You good?” or “Rough day?”
A simple question is easier to answer when someone is tired, stressed, or not ready to talk much.
Sometimes the easier reply gets the more honest one.
