Crashed my first bike on the way home after buying it
I'm in the UK and in my 40s and passed my CBT last Thursday. I thoroughly enjoyed the course and picked up a 2010 Yamaha YZF R125 through someone at work yesterday. I rode all the way home (only about 8 miles) without issue and managed to have a (low speed) crash 200 yards from my house where I didn't turn in enough and hit a traffic island. I'm fine (other than my ego) but I managed to snap the front brake handle, so I won't be able to ride until I fix it. A very kind driver stopped to make sure I was ok and helped me get my bike back up.
