Is Modi ji now a lame duck Prime Minister and has lost the will to govern?
The recent few months haven’t been kind to Sri. Modi ji, the Hon. PM of India. First, he was expecting a divine intervention charged (Ram Mandir blessed) 400 seats for self and allies and that came unstuck.
He now has a galvanised opposition which is opposing him tooth and nail both inside and outside the parliament.
He’s least concerned about what’s happening in Manipur. Hasn’t even visited a part of our country that’s been in turmoil since the past year or so, while he’s having time to visit far off nations like Poland (currently he’s on a visit to Poland 🇵🇱 and Ukraine 🇺🇦).
He’s also not in charge of his own government policy making these days. First up he rolled back the vastly unpopular changes to the capital gains taxes mechanism for property related transactions, second he’s put on hold the proposed broadcast bill, torpedoed the lateral entry bureaucracy scheme.
Is it the first time, a Modi who is known for his aggressive, Sehwag like batsman approach is now batting like Sehwag’s Delhi batting partner Aakash Chopra’s timid batting approach.
Has Modi ji, lost his mojo since the unexpected loss of seats? He’s in a coalition government for the first time ever? He’s always had super majorities in either Gujarat Assembly or the Lok Sabha prior to the 2024 elections?
