Gonna build me a new bed tomorrow. My new apartment hasnt got a lot of space but i have a lot of stuff.
i came up with this solution for my 140x200 mattress to save space and keep utility. These wooden shelved boxes go for 40€ a bundle of 3 and i reckon i need 6 in total (nevermind the drawings accuracy), gonna put thin roof battens as slatted frame on top. Since the boxes are 30cm deep, theres just enough space in the middle to put in a mattress for guests aswell.
Either this is hella stupid OR im a genius in small living. Probably gonna spend about 100 € for this setup, screws not included cuz i got plenty.

yeah ive used pallets before. But now i gotta make the most out of the space i got and i dont want it be more narrowed by a wardrobe or drawers. Once im fully furnished i'll give you guys a "mtv cribs" style home tour video

very cool! I built a murphy bed last week. it was a lot of work (just assembly) but i bet you could make one too if you just get the hardware.

ah my drawing was correct but not my thinking, the boxes are 50cm long, so id need 4 for each side. this'll proably put me into the 130-150€ then
