the ps4 is the goat console in my opinion
The PlayStation 4 to me is the best generation of PlayStation we ever had. A generation where Sony had just come from taking an absolute humbling from the success of the 360. They knew that had to pull out all the stops to win back the faith and trust from the gamers, the management at PlayStation during this lifetime was phenomenal! They literally understood the gamers so much and spoiled us with great games, literally so many! Spider man, ghost of Tsushima, god of war, horizon zero dawn, days gone, Detroit become human, driveclub and many more so many great games off all genres
The interface was smart and tidy, much better than the ps5 in my opinion. Even the music that played on the interface was just golden.
I recently sold my ps5 due to just feeling totally underwhelmed by it, I have a series s for next gen games and honestly prefer Xbox game pass for the online subscription service so I use that for online too. I’ve dug out my old ps4 stuck an ssd in it and I’m £400 richer than I was after selling my ps5. Apart from games new and old being updated to play at 60fps I’ve found the ps5 generation totally boring and underwhelming. I feel like all we get is remasters and 60fps patches implemented. Jim Ryan is not Shawn laydon, he’s a businessman not a gamer and fair play to him he’s done very well with the ps5 in terms of numbers and business but I feel the true gamers have been let down by the direction he has taken the ps5 in.
