Mice got into my van build while it was sitting for 2 weeks, how do I prevent this?
Been working on my van conversion for the past few months and had to leave it parked at a friend's property for 2 weeks while I was out of town. Came back yesterday and found mouse droppings in the back and they chewed through some of the foam insulation I had stored in there.
Nothing major but it's frustrating because now I have to replace that insulation and I'm worried they'll come back. The van is still a work in progress so there are definitely some gaps and openings they could get through.
For people who have finished builds or are living in their vans, how do you keep mice out? Is this something I need to worry about long term or just while it's sitting empty? I've heard people talk about putting out peppermint oil or mothballs but not sure what actually works.
Really don't want to deal with this problem once the build is done and I'm actually living in it.
