What's your favourite Collector's Edition, Complete Edition, Big Box, etc?
Recently, when my girl and I started renovating, we decided to add a designated game board shelf into the living area where we can not only store all our games but also exhibit the most beloved or rare ones. For that purpose we upgraded Everdell from the base game to the Complete Collection. We always enjoyed playing the expansions when friends brought them along, so we wanted to get them for our own and make the game one of those exhibits.
The only other somewhat-ish game along those lines I own is a 3D version of Catan which I also like but more as a collector's item tbh as I stick to playing the 2D version. So for actual use, it's my first time getting such a deluxified version of a game and I enjoy it more than I would have expected. Which made me wonder: what other games do you have a deluxe/upgraded/special version of that you enjoy? What makes it so special?
>!I did some research online and there's one other Collector's Edition that struck my eye: Trickerion. I've actually never heard of the game before but it sparked my interest. Seems to be a game I enjoy and I like the visual design. I definately want to play the game before making such an investment though.!<
