When I take things personally, my mind immediately turns it into something about me. I start thinking, “This is about me,” “This reflects my value,” and “I need to react.” Everything feels heavier than it actually is.
The real skill isn’t becoming numb or indifferent. It’s learning not to let every external reaction settle into my identity.
