Did crypto overprice the idea that Trump would be bullish?
A while back, a lot of people in crypto seemed convinced that Trump coming back would automatically be good for the market. The idea was simple. More pro crypto messaging, less pressure, better sentiment, and maybe a cleaner path higher.
But looking at things now, the market still feels messy. Sentiment still feels weak, and price has not really matched the confidence people had in that political narrative. That makes me wonder if a lot of traders were not really pricing in actual policy outcomes. Maybe they were just pricing in a story they wanted to believe.
I think, the bigger takeaway is that political branding does not always lead to better market results. Crypto still has to deal with liquidity, regulation, macro pressure, and real risk appetite.Lately when I am scrolling the market on bydfi, I still see people trying to force every policy headline into a “this is good for crypto” story. But in the end the market reacts to reality, not slogans. what stands out is how weak the follow through still looks. The actual reaction still feels shaky.
So I am curious how other people see it now. Did crypto overprice the idea that Trump would be bullish, or do you still think the market just has not fully reacted yet? #cryptocurrency
