Rechargeable vs. Battery Powered: non-wired walk-in closet lighting
TLDR: mind sharing any non-wire light preferences that last longer than 1+ year?

Our new apt. has one long walk-in that I’ve had to switch to as my primary. No accessible outlets (without crossing 2+ doors, which we’ve done, but not ideal). Maybe I’ve just had bad experiences with rechargeable items, but Google said they’re the way to go (over battery-powered) so I’d love some recs/tips in case I may be using wrong.
The last 3 strip packs we’ve bought were total duds within a few months. The only one still standing (motion - purchased over a year ago) stays on ≈5min after full charge, but doesn’t work if plugged in. Another (tap to power) doesn’t hold a charge at all but at least turns on when plugged, so I’ve moved it elsewhere...
I’m sure I didn’t purchase the most expensive, but def not the cheapest - maybe I’m doing something wrong when charging? I do have rechargeable batteries - if the only benefit is cost, is there a more durable battery powered option? Or something I should look for when searching?
Praying 4th times the charm lol any advice would be greatly appreciated! #lifestyle source
