Somewhere in France. Very precise travel journalism, I know. 😂🇫🇷

The exact location escapes me, but apparently these flowers weren’t letting me leave without a photograph. All those tiny ruffles, dressed in a pink that had absolutely no intention of being subtle.

A little colour rescued from the archives—and finally getting its moment. 🌸📸

Thank you! They really were impossible to walk past. I’m pretty sure they are Crape Myrtle ( Lagerstroemia ) blossoms—those crinkled, paper-like ruffled petals are so distinctive! Isn't it funny how mystery travel photos still hold onto that spark of "I just had to capture this"? 🌸😊

the where can wander off and the why still sits right there in the frame. Those crinkled pink ruffles are the whole reason the camera came out. I have one like that too, a single loud bloom I cannot pin to a street, and I still know exactly why I stopped.
