A mobile blood truck came to my workplace today, and I decided to donate blood, which only takes 30 minutes. Someone told me "I think you can get administrative leave/ hours for donating. Found something in the PTO web, but needs SPE approval..."
It's just *30 minutes*. This describes a large chunk of my work culture.
Also, I get that some people might not even have the opportunity to walk outside to donate blood, but this is micromanaging. (Trying to explain this better because I didn't take a lot of time off.) source
