I'm studying Romanticism and it's already such a wild ride
Right after an in-depth study on A Tale of Two Cities, I hopped onto British Romantic Literature but we're diving into the history of it first, like always, and it's so exciting. Blows my mind that with each age, we have reached where we are in terms of language, literature, art, philosophy and music. Not making a good case in a Gen Z world (I am one) but it's crazy that without the French Revolution, most of the things we have right now, the ideologies, the literature, the media, the art would not have existed or might have a very different version of it. The hierarchies demolishing from everywhere including literature is how we have confessional poems and free verse poems, etc. I just needed to gush. Thank you for reading.
