If I were a photon I'd travel afar
and be virtually indistinguishable from a star.
If I were a photon, a beam of pure light,
I'd dance through the cosmos, in darkness so bright.
I'd journey through galaxies, without any care,
Gliding through vacuum, weightless and rare.
With the speed of a thought, I'd travel afar,
To distant horizons, where wonders bizarre.
Invisible traveler, ethereal and free,
No bounds to confine me, no walls I can see.
I'd mingle with stardust, ignite the night sky,
Painting constellations, as time passes by.
An ephemeral spark, but forever I'd shine,
Among celestial giants, a jewel so fine.
From nebulae swirling to black holes so vast,
I'd witness the universe, from future to past.
A witness to secrets that time can't unmask,
Connecting the cosmos, an eternal task.
Through supernovae's fury and quasars ablaze,
I'd shimmer and flicker, in infinite ways.
Blending with brilliance, a radiant crown,
An enigmatic particle, never to be bound.
So if you were a photon, traversing so far,
You'd be a celestial beacon, a mystical star.
Forever exploring, with no limits to roam,
A luminescent traveler, forever to roam.
