talked about it. I was reminded of a friend. yeah, I have a friend from pakistan. I call him "jhon" because he doesn't look like a typical Pakistani. he speaks urdu in his daily life. But when in Indonesia he was forced to use English. It seemed silly to us, because we were both learning English. I am native english with indonesian style, and he is native with his style. "Jhon" is a refugee seeking asylum in Indonesia, with the next destination being Australia. And maybe after that heading to Canada. But it's a long and difficult process for him. We often get together, tell stories, about his family, country, and travels. I wanted to reach out to him by giving him a helping hand (job or otherwise), helping me at my cell phone repair shop. But if the immigration authorities found out about it, it would be a problem for him. I don't have the heart to do that. Yeah, we ended up becoming friends. And I always invite him to various traditional events in my place. Introducing our culture and customs in Indonesia. Then a while later, we never saw each other again. The last time I communicated with her was through messenger and she was in Makassar. A long distance from our city, and a different island. And after that, the messenger was not active. Until now I don't know his whereabouts. I hope everything is okay. Thank you my friend, I hope we can meet under better circumstances. The photo below is a very precious memory for me. poke:
