I’m an ED Nurse in Dallas and got a chilling text from my wife on Christmas Eve. My condo is in Old East Dallas, off Ross & Haskell. My wife texts me and tells me someone is sleeping outside by our HVAC unit. Ok. I immediately get off work and go check on this person to see if he needs help. I go and check this guy out and he’s completely frozen. WTF. So wild. So upsetting. Fire guys come as well as police. The man is diagnosed as dead on arrival and the medical examiner is called. The Dallas County Coroners van is backing up into my driveway to retrieve this body. What the hell. He was literally a wall away from warmth and life. This sucks.
