paradigm shift
Is anyone else a big fan of Jerzy Kosinski's work?
I discovered Jerzy when I was about 14 or 15 years. I bought a copy of Cockpit for maybe $2 or $3 dollars from a secondhand bookstore and it blew my mind; the fact that a novel could not be driven by a plot, that it could not have a resolution which satisfies, that it could be perverse. I then went on to chew through everything else by Kosinski I could get my hands on. I see just now though that on Wikipedia, Cockpit has one negative review. And weirdly, his least impressive books "Being There" and "Painted Bird" are made into films.
