Between the United States and Russia, these two islands stand in the frozen water of the two major seas of the world (the Pacific Ocean and the Arctic). They are called "Diamed Islands". Among them, the larger island is under the control of Russia, and the small island on the right is part of the United States. The distance between the two islands is only 3.5 kilometers, but if we look at the time difference between the two, the Russian island is about 21 hours ahead of the island of America. That is, if the island of America will be at 3:00 noon on Monday, then in the island of Russia, it will be 12 noon on Tuesday. That is, by traveling only 3.5 kilometers, you can go to the next date and come back on the previous date. What is behind it, we have to understand the lines of the Meridians which are imaginary from north to south to understand the map of the earth. Our land is round, and there are 360 degrees in a round circle, so we form 360 lines from north to south on the map of the earth. One of these lines passes through the "Greenwich" region of England, it is considered 0⁰ degrees, and the time here is also considered as standard, which is called "Greenwich Mantime" i.e. GMT. With every 15 lines passing from this 0⁰ to the east, the time increases by one hour. That is, after every 15 degrees to the east, GMT+1. While on the west side it decreases by 1 hour from every 15 degrees i.e. GMT-1 after every 15 degrees towards the west. Thus, when the line of 180⁰ comes, there is such a difference between the time of East and West that the history of both sides changes, and this line of 180⁰ is called the International Date Line, which passes through the Pacific Ocean. However, the countries of the world do not fully follow this international date line, because this line divides many countries into two parts, but governments keep the time and history of their entire country the same. Like about 18 lines pass through Pakistan (60⁰ to 77⁰) but we keep our time according to the seventy-fifth (75th) line which is five hours ahead of GMT.
