Will RAM prices and shortage of new graphic cards make developers create less advanced and visually stunning games?
With rising RAM prices and ongoing GPU shortages, I wonder if this will slow down how far developers push graphics and technical complexity. If many players can't upgrade their PCs or consoles, studios may feel pressured to target lower hardware baselines to reach a wider audience. At the same time, technologies like DLSS, FSR, XeSS, frame generation, and modern engines (e.g., UE5 with Nanite and Lumen) allow developers to achieve better visuals without relying purely on raw hardware power.
What do you think? Will expensive or scarce hardware limit visual and technical progress in games? Or will smarter optimization and rendering techniques keep graphics advancing anyway? #games
