So I am looking to buy myself a new winter jacket. I live in Michigan so it does get pretty cold here and it does snow a lot but I don't do many outdoor activities in the winter. I basically just need something to keep me warm for walking to my car, walking into work, and shoveling snow. I do not need anything over the top warm or bulky. I would prefer something that is still relatuvly light weight for a winter jacket but just big enough to keep me warm. In the past I have used North Face and Patagonia jackets for winter, I am open to buying from them again if i find something I like. I have also been looking at other brands as well like Arc'teryx and Lululemon who I have bought stuff from in the past and have been really pleased with the quality. I am looking to spend around the $300-$350 range, if i find something that I really like I could push it to $400 but that would be my max I would be willing to spend. I would appreciate any recommendations for any brands or even specific jackets you think would suit me well for my needs. source
