My boss embarrassed me over a meeting last week, so I quit

Update on my post from last week about being 10 minutes late to a meeting and getting reprimanded by my boss for not hanging up on the customer to make it to the meeting on time (at my Customer Service job) :

Yeah, I quit.

I vacillated all weekend on the best course of action, literally all I thought about ALL weekend, but ultimately decided the thought of getting out as quickly as possible made me feel best. I am pivoting to my second job where I will be able to pick up equivalent hours within the next few weeks (and picking up some open shifts in the interim to get PRETTY CLOSE to that, until then).

I don’t know what that other job is going to do about me quitting without notice but that’s for them to figure out. I feel so relieved.

The right option isn’t ALWAYS to up and quit your job, but every now and then I think it is, especially if you already have a backup.
