Kawasaki weird alarm like noise
Hi all, I hope this post is allowed here; otherwise the mods can delete it :)
Yesterday I bought my first bike (Kawasaki ER-6f, 2006) and, as excited as I was, I rode it all day. Today, after I went to work and took the bike with me, I noticed a weird alarm-like noise that I didn’t hear during the test ride. It can be heard both when the bike is stationary and while riding.
I suspected it might have something to do with the fuel tank, so I opened the tank lid, started the engine, and closed the lid again. After that, the noise changed to a more static sound and became less alarm-like. I’m quite worried that something is wrong with my bike. Does anyone have experience with this kind of issue, or is it normal?
Sorry if this is a dumb question — I’m quite new to motorcycles.
