why are we wasting school hours on religion when they should be teaching us about political literacy instead?
nakaka frustrate lang.
first of all, people need to understand that we do NOT need to study religion to have morality. compassion, fairness, and empathy are inherent human traits that exist independently of any religious text or institution. what's the practical use of studying religion?
• will it help us earn money in the future? no.
• would it help us get a job or build a career? no
• does it provide actual, necessary knowledge for the real world? no
• would it make us any smarter or more critically aware? absolutely not.
at hindi rin naman lahat ng tao pare-parehas lang ng pinaniniwalaan. actually, back when I was still religious in 8th grade, nagtataka na talaga ako. why are they teaching us religion when it’s not even going to help us with anything in life? It’s a total waste of time and academic space. comedy ba 'to??? seriously, they need to stop forcing theology into secular education and focus on things that actually matter.
