KIND PEOPLE
One of the biggest surprises from my European trip was the people I met in Germany. Before visiting, I had heard the stereotype that Germans are serious or reserved, but my experience couldn’t have been more different.
Every person I interacted with was polite, patient, and genuinely helpful. Whether I was asking for directions, buying train tickets, or simply trying to navigate a new city, people were always willing to help with a smile. Even when there was a language barrier, they made an effort to communicate and ensure I was okay.
What stood out the most was their respect for others. They valued queues, followed rules without making life difficult for anyone else, and treated strangers with courtesy. I never felt unwelcome. Instead, I felt safe, respected, and cared for.
Germany gave me beautiful cities and unforgettable landscapes, but the kindness of its people is what I’ll remember the longest. For me, Germans weren’t just good hosts they were absolute gems, and they made my journey far more memorable than I ever expected.
