TakeTakeTake Game Review is a Slop Machine
TakeTakeTake Chess launched with an LLM game review feature they say is a "really good way to improve". On their own launch stream, the system claimed a bishop on b3 defended a queen on e3. That's... not how a bishop moves.
It's just a slop machine: a system that uses generative AI to automatically create content, but where no one cared enough to make sure the content was any good.
It’s quite easy to infer the rough structure of the system based on the mistakes it makes. They basically just prompt an LLM with the stockfish evaluation and principal variation. But because the LLM isn’t actually any good at chess, the explanations don't make sense.
I went through the full first game review from the launch stream, and almost everything the review says is wrong or irrelevant.
