We're a mid-size company looking at an enterprise AI consulting firm vs. building an in-house team. Which makes more sense financially?
We’ve budgeted about $400k for our AI initiatives next year. Looking at the market, hiring two senior AI engineers and a data scientist would eat that budget instantly (plus benefits/equity). On the other hand, consulting firms seem expensive upfront. For a company that isn't tech-first but wants to modernize, which path has the better ROI?
