Collision Vs. Comprehensive - If you can only afford ONE, Which one would it be?
Collision
* Collision covers your car for collisions. Like you rear-end someone, slide into a tree or run into a fence. If you accidentally hit another car or object or another car accidentally runs into you, collision covers your car. When choosing a deductible, check your loan or lease agreement (if you have one). If your car's leased or financed, your lender may limit how high your deductible can be. So while a high deductible may lower your premium, it may not satisfy your financing requirements.
Comprehensive
* Comprehensive covers your car for the stuff that’s not a “collision.” Like a tree falling on your windshield, hail damage, or even a stolen car. It basically covers the crazy stuff that you never really expect to happen, but still does. When choosing a deductible, check your loan or lease agreement (if you have one). If your car's leased or financed, your lender may limit how high your deductible can be. So while a high deductible may lower your premium, it may not satisfy your financing requirements.
I'm Trying to keep Insurance around $1K USD /year and I have to choose between the two. Which one would you guys advise to go with? I'm a Law-abiding rider.
* The Bike would either be a 2026 R9 or GSXR750
AllState allows me to choose between Collision and/or Comprehensive. The Comprehensive is Cheaper than Collision. Collision alone is $1,111 USD a Year, Comprehensive alone is $714 a year. #motorcycles
