Why do people queue at an airport boarding gate way before boarding has started when everyone has an assigned seat?
I see this every time I fly. The gate isn't even boarding yet and suddenly there's a queue of 50 people standing there.
If you've already got an assigned seat, what advantage do you actually get from being near the front?
Am I missing something obvious?
