Roof fan on Peugeot Boxer corrugated roof — sealant stack with 3D printed groove fillers?

Hi everyone,

I’m installing a 40 × 40 cm roof fan (Berger Plus fan) on my **2017 Peugeot Boxer L4H3**. The roof is corrugated, so I may use small **3D printed groove fillers** or a full adapter frame to create a flat mounting surface.

What sealant stack would you recommend?

fan flange
SikaLastomer 710 / butyl
adapter or 3D printed groove fillers
Sikaflex 522 OR SikaLastomer 710 / butyl ?

Many mentioned that they used **Sikaflex 522 under the fillers/adapter** to bond them to the roof, and **SikaLastomer 710 or butyl above** so the fan stays removable later.

Honestly I think I would intuitively prefer to have SikaLastomer 710 / butyl both under and above the groove fillers / adapter - I think that the butyl / lastomer is superior sealant, no cracking, no issues with heat expansion etc.

What is your sealing stack when filling grooves?
