Jack Hylton and His Orchestra - Egyptian Ella - 1931
“ Egyptian Ella ” (Walter Doyle) | Jack Hylton & His Orchestra | Vocal chorus: Pat O'Malley
From one of his many Berlin recordings here is Hylton’s excellent version of Egyptian Ella . By this time Hylton had been with HMV for 10 years and would soon transfer to Decca. These Berlin recordings showcase the band with their fine acoustics and stylish performances. So here is - British band - German recording - Spanish issue.
His Masters Voice; Berlin, March 11, 1931.
