How do I read 1800’s text?
Hello! I am currently reading Frankenstein (1818 version) and I have never read a classic before. It’s proving to be quite hard. I’ve barely gotten past the first page. 😭
Like, I get the gist of what the author is saying but I’m reading this book for school and I need to heavily analyze and annotate it. I can’t really do that if I don’t know fully understand what I’m reading. I don’t know, I chose this book cause the concept and story is something I’m really interested in but I don’t want jeopardize my grade either. I also don’t want to give up so easily and want to have a real attempt it.
I don’t know any guidance towards any resources that could help me understand this dialect would be helpful!
