My Switch 2 is finally part of my PC setup

I’m mainly a PC gamer, but I really like Nintendo exclusives. For a while I’ve had my Switch connected to an Elgato 4K capture card, so I can basically use it as part of my normal PC setup.

I even 3D printed a small drawer behind my desk that holds the Switch in its dock, so at this point it pretty much lives there as part of the setup.

That means I can keep my monitors, Discord, browser, audio setup, whatever controller I want, and even mess around with things like DLSS, FrameGen and filters on Switch games.

It works great… until I leave my desk.

I can stream my PC to a laptop, TV or another room, and getting the Switch video there is easy enough. The problem was controlling the actual Switch remotely.

So I built **SwitchNet**.

The idea is pretty simple:

**Controller / KB&M → PC → Network → ESP32-S3 → Switch**

The ESP32-S3 acts as a bridge and sends the inputs to the physical Switch.

So now I can stream my PC setup somewhere else and still play the Switch that’s sitting in its dock behind my desk.

Is it overengineered? Probably 😅

But it solves a very specific problem I had, and I thought other PC/Switch users might find it interesting too.

It’s completely open source:

If anyone is crazy enough to grab an ESP32-S3 and try it, I’d genuinely love to hear how it goes :)
