LPT: Set up notification with your debit/credit card company so you can comfortably delete scam emails/sms alerting you of a nonexistent "purchase"
Since we are bombarded by scam emails/texts about a "purchase" we ordered and attempts to phish for identity, one good way to deflect this is to set up notifications with your debit/credit cards. My limit is $0.00. So anytime I buy anything, I get an alert that a purchase has been made.
With this set up, I know when I *didn't* make a purchase. So if I get a text or email asking me to click a certain link or log in to a website because of a "purchase" I made, I know for a fact I didn't make it (since I never got a debit/credit notification), and it's much easier to throw these emails into the spam folder.
