Brays Bayou Greenway Update - Segment to Arthur Storey Park
For the longest time when I looked on the Houston Parks Board website it showed that the trail segment between Gessner and Arthur Storey Park was under construction. Google maps shows that various segments were completed but not interconnected. I could not find any recent construction updates and Google is still showing these segments as closed when you plug them into maps. So I went out there to see what is going on.
Can confirm that the trail segment between Gessner & Arthur Storey Park is complete and the new bridges and infrastructure are there and accessible. Crews were working to complete the last few hundred feet of pavement under Beltway 8 to connect into the park which seems like it should happen over the next few weeks.
Once that segment is in, that means you can ride continuously from the ship channel all the way to the southern end of George Bush Park.
