My ac is leaking and after taking it to a rv dealership they’re quoting me around 900 bucks..
For that price I’m like shit why not buy a new one and get a 12v instead of keeping one that’s a few years old and 110v..
Either way, I see gaskets aren’t even 50 bucks on Amazon.
Is this something a non handyman could attempt? I certainly don’t want to spend 1k if I can avoid it.. but if I am, wouldn’t it be smarter to buy a new ac that uses less power than re seal one that’s almost 5 years old and sucks up most of my solar power?
If it’s something pretty much anyone could replace I’ll just keep using this ac til it fails but I’d hate to spend that money and come summer end up needing a better ac or having to add to my power just to get by. #lifestyle source
