A radio station's refusal to play a record does not equate to it being 'banned'. 'Banned' means the Gubmint will not allow it to be played. There is a huge distinction that gets entirely missed by many. A banned record cannot be bought or sold or played anywhere. But it draws more interest to claim something is/was 'banned' vs. saying some stations chose not to play it.
I know you are just saying what you read online - I am just saying what I know from working in radio. Not your fault but it is one of those thangs that drives me nuttier than I already am. 😜
