Resurrecting old Acer Aspire 5740. WiFi Card upgrade?
Working on making this a starter Linux machine for data hoarding. This unit uses an Atheros AR5B93 WiFi card. Now I know this thing is nearly 20 years old but I’m hoping some of the vets on here can help with with ID’ing the strongest/most current WiFi card this thing will support internally.
Current specs:
Acer 5740-5144
Intel i7 640M
8gb RAM
500gb Micron SSD
Any help is appreciated
