Seeking actionable advice for International Informatics Olympiad?
I am\[14M\] in class 9th looking to prepare for International Informatics Olympiad in Informatics for academic year 2026-2027. I am currently living in India looking to prepare for International Informatics Olympiad. There are 3 rounds to appear in IOI- A-Zonal Round 1-ZIO(Zonal Informatics Olympiad)-It is a written exam solely focusing on Algorithmic and Mathematical questions(Number theory and basic discrete mathematics) 2-ZCO(Zonal Informatics Olympiad)-It is a computer based examination in which we have 2 questions to solve using multiple provided languages I am focusing on C++ as it is primary programming language for further rounds We can take either take one or both examination in the contest Top students(200-250) pass down to next round B-Indian National Olympiad in Informatics- It is a programming contest in which only C++ is allowed Top performers(usually 30-35 students pass down to next round or camp) C-IOI Training Camp This is a training camp in which those 30-35 students are trained under top IOI medallist and professors taught advanced programming concepts in CMI(Siruseri) Best 4 participants are selected and sent to host country D-International Olympiad This is the final round The Zonal competition is usually held in December-February giving me a window of 8-10 months Why I am preparing for it-I am preparing for IOI as I have genuine passion for programming and these medals in IOI can pave a path to top universities I want actionable advice to prepare for the Olympiad including learning specific C++ library, arrays, functions, data types, most important algorithms to learn(DP, Dijkstra's Algorhim?), Mathematical formulas to learn to decrease time complexity from O(N) to O(1) shifting from loops to Mathematical formulas TL;DR-A student from India preparing for IOI wants actionable advice to learn C++ for competitive programming **Resources:** Any specific YouTube channels, blogs (CP-Algorithms?), or platforms you recommend for an Indian student? #dev #technology #programming
