Children in vlogs, under-15 influencers now covered by new DOLE rules

MANILA, Philippines — Children younger than 15 who participate in vlogs, livestreams, digital advertisements and other online content may need a work permit from the Department of Labor and Employment.
Labor Secretary Francis Tolentino issued Labor Advisory 12, Series of 2026, reminding parents, guardians and employers that child labor safeguards also apply to digital media and content creation.
The July 21 advisory covers children participating in public entertainment or information activities through traditional and online media.
