Seeking opinions on layout for biking
Hey all,
Recently picked up a sprinter 144 high top.
I will be building this van out more for weekend adventures and won't be living in it, at least hopefully not in the near future, lol.
I enjoy mountain biking and hiking, and consider being able to put my bike inside at times a high priority in my design layout.
I have seen many builds on youtube that feature a raised platform bed, creating a garage space underneath for bikes and gear, which looks great, except that It consumes about 60% of the space on a 144WB.
My preference would be something more like a couch setup that converts to a bed, so that I have more space inside to hang out after driving 8 hours away only to find out the forecast was wrong and its pouring rain, lol.
In this scenario, I don't really know where my bike would go, other than just setting it inside, slightly in the way, and outside on a rack when the weathers good.
I am curious what your experiences with different layouts have been, and if you recommend for or against anything?
