Wiki says 'Friedrich (later Frederick) Trump was born in Kallstadt, Bavaria, in 1869 and emigrated to the United States at age 16 in 1885. He became a barber, then a hotel and restaurant operator in the American West, and eventually a real estate speculator in New York. He is best remembered as the patriarch of the Trump family and grandfather of Donald Trump. In reality, he dodged the draft, opened a bar in Canada, selling booze and private areas with ladies, returned to Bavaria with his fortune, but was denied citizenship.
