I remember it so clearly. I was at the Cheshire Home, caring for the elders, when the news started coming through. It felt surreal seeing the same heartbreaking images on every channel. I remember the shock and disbelief in that moment, and how deeply it affected everyone around me. Some days stay with you forever, and 9/11 is one of them. 🕊️❤️ Never forgotten.
I was at work in Cape Town CBD watching the news unfold on TV. I’ll never forget that day or how surreal it felt watching something so horrific happen so far away.

I was at the movies and I remember coming home with a friend to watch DBZ but every channel just showed the smokey towers with some bizarre fear-mongering headline like : WORLD WAR III IMMINENT
